Finding The Best Water Cooler Filter For Safe, Healthy London Water

The hard, mains water around London and the southeast often leaves residents in these areas with a bad taste in their mouths. But while it’s completely safe and healthy water to drink, it’s the millions of water cooler filters doing their job quietly and efficiently that help people get their daily dose of fresh-tasting drinking water straight from the tap.

Water cooler filters

Of course, drinking water from London and the southeast is completely safe to drink. Rigorously tested hundreds and thousands of times over the course of a year, its standard is very high. But it’s the taste and the hard mineral content that puts people off. As a way around this, many people choose hand-filled water filters with standard charcoal filters for home use to filter out the worst offending minerals.

Obviously, this isn’t sustainable for a commercial business, so thousands of commercial enterprises and organisations are turning to mains fed water coolers, complete with advanced water filters, to provide all the purified drinking water they need for staff and visitors alike.

How do water cooler filters work?

The aim of every water filter is really simple: it works to filter out and remove any waterborne odours, contaminants, and impurities and deliver fresh-tasting, pure water – even with already filtered mains water where some of these things can slip through the net. As standard, each of our mains fed water coolers is fitted with advanced water filtration technology to remove all this while still leaving in the essential natural mineral content that's good for you.

Are water cooler filters recyclable?

Each of the Pura water cooler filers used in Thirsty Work coolers is made from recyclable plastic materials – even our heavy-duty Puraultracarb filter is made from natural ceramic and carbon materials. Each of them is strong, durable, and made to last inside your water cooler.

When the old filters reach the end of their usable life, your Thirsty Work engineer will switch them for a brand new one for your cooler. The old filter is then returned to the manufacturer who removes the old filtration system and replaces it inside the existing housing, making every element 100% recyclable or reusable.

Which water cooler filter do you need?

The best part of having a filter inside your water cooler (apart from giving you pure water of course) is that you don't need to worry about which one you need. Our engineers will make a professional judgement, based on your location and your proposed usage, and fit the water cooler filter that best suits your needs during installation and at any regular cooler services that follow.
